INDIVIDUAL TOAD IN THE HOLE

An individual toad in the hole that is dairy free, soya free and gluten free

Ingredients

  • 50 g gluten-free flour I use Doves Farm
  • 50 ml almond milk
  • 1 medium egg approximate weight 50g
  • Pinch of salt
  • 15 ml vegetable oil
  • 1 sausage we used Tesco Free From sausages for this but many higher quality sausages are gluten-free now

Instructions

  1. Pre-heat oven to gas mark 6 (200C).

  2. Place one sausage, and 15ml of vegetable oil, in an individual loaf tin and put in the oven.
  3. Cook for 15-17 minutes until the sausage is half-cooked.
  4. Mix together the egg, almond milk and flour. Add a pinch of salt and pepper.

  5. Pour the batter over the sausage and place back into the oven.
  6. Cook for 20 minutes or until desired brownness is achieved.
