dairy free oat biscuits

Ingredients

  • 120 g dairy free butter I use Vitalite sunflower
  • 75 g brown sugar
  • 30 ml golden syrup
  • 100 g porridge oats
  • 100 g plain flour I use Doves Farm
  • 1/4 tsp Xanthan Gum
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to gas mark 5 (190C)

  2. Cream together the butter and sugar

  3. Add golden syrup and combine

  4. Mix together the dry ingredients

  5. Add the wet and dry ingredients together

  6. Roll into walnut-sized balls

  7. Place onto a lined baking tray

  8. Press down lightly with a fork

  9. Bake for 11-12 minutes

  10. You want them to be firm and lightly brown

  11. Leave on the baking tray for a few minutes before transferring to a cooling rack
