Gluten free shortcrust pastry [DF, GF, SF]

In our home, we love to do lots of baking. It is a great cheap way to have fun with little ones and also it is pretty easy to rectify mistakes when you’re rolling out pastry. Especially if you make something simple like jam tarts or cheese straws. This gluten-free shortcrust pastry is cheap, easy to make and can be kept in the fridge for a couple of days if you want to spread out the baking fun with little ones!

Gluten free shortcrust pastry cases
These pastry cases were made using this gluten free shortcrust pastry recipe – my 3 year old made these cases herself so I think that shows the pastry is fairly easy to work with!

Individual toad in the hole [DF, GF, SF]

Having a child with multiple allergies often leads me to put off making certain foods. Toad in the hole for example. I’ve always assumed that the gluten-free flours won’t give a nice rise! This individual toad in the hole is just as simple to make as any other. The ingredients I have used are dairy free, soya free and gluten free. Please ensure you always check the ingredients you are using, as ingredients may vary by brand.
